Does your dog's behaviour cause you stress & anxiety? Do you feel like you've lost control? Does your dog pull on the lead? Ignore you when you call him? Lunge & bark at other dogs? Jump up? Does your dog lack confidence or seem anxious about the world around them? Are you welcoming a new rescue dog to your family and want to get off to the smoothest start possible? I can help...

I will -

  • help you understand your dog and understand why he is behaving as he is
  • teach you how to get more of the behaviour you want and less of the behaviour you don't (kindly)
  • teach you how to help your dog feel more confident and relaxed
  • help you feel more confident, in control & relaxed when you are out with your dog
  • treat you and your dog with empathy, kindness and honesty
  • provide you with ongoing support both during our time working together & beyond
I will not -
  • judge you or your dog
  • use aversive or harsh training techniques
  • make you unrealistic promises or create unrealistic expectations

Separation anxiety and other separation related problems are difficult for both dogs and their humans and can have a huge impact on your ability to live a normal life. Separation training teaches your dog how to feel more comfortable with brief periods of absence and teaches you the fundamental skills you need to continue training independently. Due to the nature of the issue separation training is carried out 100% remotely via Zoom.

Separation training can take time and requires commitment and patience but it is possible to help your dog feel more comfortable being home alone and give you the freedom to live a more normal life.

"I would highly recommend Aileen. She is such a nice person who genuinely cares about dogs. Her approach is gentle and kind and not hardcore, military boot camp style. She realises your dog is part of the family and her training style reflects this. I was so lucky to land on Aileen’s page first when looking for a trainer and we’ve had three wonderful sessions. I feel well equipped with knowledge and confidence now"

"Aileen has been a blessing! Our rescue Mylo has been terrified by the fireworks and has not went further than 10ft from our front door this year. After 3 sessions, a lot of hot dogs and patience our little pudding went for a 40 minute walk!! I never thought it was possible but he was off like a shot and we have not stopped smiling since. Fantastic does not even cover it and I would not hesitate to recommend Aileen to anyone! From one very happy and grateful family, thank you again!!"

"We’ve had Monty, a Romanian rescue for three years, and he has settled in generally very well to life in Scotland. Aileen has been a fantastic help to us with a couple of issues we’ve had - she has helped us strengthen Monty’s recall which can be very selective especially if there are other dogs around. And she’s helped us to recognise signs of anxiety and stress in Monty particularly when there are visitors to the house, and strategies to help us help him in those situations.
Aileen gives very clear, considered and sensible advice, and her love of dogs shines through. I would highly recommend The Perfect Puppy Company"
